My builder uses Houzz Pro to plan the timeline and give detailed estimates and daily updates with photos of progress, and provide invoices at pre-agreed key points in the build. This made the whole experience much more efficient and stress-free.

      like it all but the dust collecting ledge above that would need to be cleaned every other day

      You can put a nice all natural furniture polish like lemon oil up there to prevent dust collection, and get a disposable duster with an extended handle for cleaning! Additionally, if it were that great of a concern, a HEPA air filter would be helpful in reducing dust.
