The stand is pretty easy to make.
It has a steel mesh bar inside the skinny part to keep it from breaking. Once I epoxy it together it should be pretty tough.

What kind of paint did you use?

snappea, David hasn't been around. I'm not positive but I think he made a plain hypertufa or concrete bowl then put on the colored layers. It's not paint but a cement dye, I think. Maybe someone else can find the thread where he told how he did this. Billie

He was helping me learn how to make and carve multicolored grots but I can't reach him.

Does anyone has David M's instructions for his tufa frog and fence hanging grots.

When Hypertufa Art disappeared so did David's personal website. He had
detailed instructions on it for making a large frog planter and
wonderful multicolored grots that peeked over fences. I was looking
forward to make some of those but can't recall the recipes or how the
molds were constructed.
