Thanks for advice. We r trying to avoid too much white in our kitchen.

We r thinking of choosing this dark brown glass tile in 3x12 and stagger them with white grout in between.

How about the gray glass subway tile you picture? I like the combo of gray and beige. It will tie in any stainless and you could also paint the walls gray.

Do you think the gray will blend with the creamy caesarstone ? It has brownish swirls.

I think the brown may be too dark but that depends on the rest of your house - I think a beige/almond glass would be nice if you do not want to do gray - search beige glass subway tiles in photos and you will see examples. Had a friend who did this counter and it is lovely.

I LOVE Johanne Blansche's idea! What an amazing merger of all three colors.

I actually put it in a client's shower as a decorative stripe as well as in the shower niche. I have a photo on my site of the shower, the photo might be a it small but it might give you an idea what it looks like.

Okay so do the tile on first pic is beige and wonder if people think that looks okay or is it too matchy matchy or prefer the grayer glass tile (2nd pic) which I am less inclined because not liking gray color tiles as much.

However gray tile does provide a contrast which we r hoping to achieve with our white cabinets. Thanks again for everyone's input. Plan to install tile in a couple weeks. Yikes.

I think I like the beige tile but difficult to tell from angle of photo and monitor colors - I would want to make sure it had a gray undertone and not a pink one. I think you need to compare several different beige glass tiles and see how they compare.

Also remember you have to take your floor color into consideration and you have not told us what that is.

Floor will be engineered hardwood hickory. Good point to include flooring in design concept.

Oh nice floor and now I understand why you were drawn to the brown tiles but I am wondering if glass tiles may be too contemporary for your kitchen. I would call your cabinets and floor a modern rustic look. Your floors appear to have a yellow undertone and that may be difficult to match a beige tile to that. My personal taste for hard finishes is to keep them as simple and neutral as possible as I will be living with then for 20 years - are you sure you don't want to consider beveled white subway? I know you don't want too much white and I haven't seen your kitchen but there are a lot of other ways to add color to the room in furniture, window coverings and accessories and you can change those when you want to.

Guess we were posting at same time - I like this backsplash and you can do that if you like it and can live with it for a long time. Are you going to have under cabinet lighting and lots of natural light in your kitchen - that will help too. The counter in this kitchen has a lot more brown in it than your counter so coordinates well but your floor has more brown in it. Can you wait to choose tile til floor and counter in - lots of people do that so they can see the big picture.

Just looked at big pictures of that remodel - that tile does look great - love the shape of it and how shiny it is but I don't think it is glass tile - looks like a really shiny ceramic - show this picture at you tile store and see what they say.

We will put in under cabinet lighting. I liked the beveled white tile but hubby shot that down. We could wait I think for tiles. But I just want to plan ahead. We r in Reno mode now and want to move in ASAP. So trying to plan ahead. I like the beige colors and don't mind the gray glass. But I think glass tiles may be too contemporary but I just wanted to pick glass or ceramic tiles for easy maintenance.

Can't seem to find decent ceramic tiles like in Houzz pics. So frustrating.

Thank you for posting pics of an actual Dreamy Marfil sample, have been looking on the net for ages!! Personally I wouldnt go gray, cant see it with the colours of this quartz,and I wouldnt go with that dark brown either..I know you're thinking that your kitchen might look bland if you choose light coloured countertop and light-coloured backsplash with light coloured cabinets, Im going through the same dilemma. However, as in my case, you will have the floor that WILL create contrast, along with the appliances and other kitchen accessories. I think the all white look is timeless and will never go out of fashion. So I would either go for the mother of pearl tiles as the pro Johanne suggested or else the beige tiles. They're both really nice and not too ""matchy matchy"". Im going up the backsplash with the dreamy marfil, will post pics if I'm ready before you are :) Good luck with your project!
