Is it just me, or is the couch too far down the wall? Can you move it a bit more to the right? If it needs to stay where it is, then the console table should cover the outlet in the wall to the right of the couch. Well, SOMETHING should cover it.

Sadly I can't move it... Yes I'm looking for ideas for a table to cover the outlet. Thank you!

When a console table goes behind a couch, it is similar to the height of the back of the couch. I think this idea would work here, too, for a piece that goes beside the couch. I do like the idea of a mirrored one, too.

The thermostat will be the tricky part, as you need access to it. I have seen some put a pretty frame around them or place something tall in front of them that they can reach behind.

Maybe you would want to float some shelves over the console and put a stack of books in front and just move them as necessary? Or prop a pic in front of it that would be easy enough to put back.

Add a credenza to hide the outlets Put a lamp on it a couple of books stacked and create a vignette for the wall above with empty picture frames all in white in different sizes & hang one around the thermostat but affix it very well, maybe with Velcro so that it doesn't get bumped off the wall when used. How's that?

Should the height of a console table be as tall as the back of the couch, or up to the arm of the couch?

A side table should match the arm and a console table the back of the couch.
