You're on the right path - but the curtains no longer work as they are too light and not a color that does anything for the room. If you keep it simple, maybe a deep rich brown or deep blue (depending on paint color) velvet curtain, and then bring your wall and ceiling colors in with a floral centerpiece or glass art piece or a line of candles down the center of the table. I go to the closet for inspiration. A scarf or shirt - anything that might work in this room. Then look at fabric sites to narrow it down. Calico Corners ( http://www.calicocorners.com) is wonderful for all types of material and color options. Strips, patterns, tone-on-tone, rich color or textures. You could also go with a rug that pulls in a pattern and then keep the curtains simple. Or another options - maybe you already have your inspiration for colors - think winery - deep rich oak barrels, plum grapes, green leaves, rust fall leaves.......

Thank you! I was thinking these red curtains, But they might be too dark (and they're sold out). I like the idea of a pattern & trying to incorporate the wall color at the same time. The room is open to the living room which is sea blue/Grays & gold, I'm having a hard time unifying them.

The hard part of an open concept area. Love eggplant. I also love the red curtains - as long as they have a touch of the wall color in them. BTY - love the pillow covers. So wanted them for my home! In design they say - bring your accent color in three times. I like a basic pallet for the large items with accents and pops of color in decorative items and seasonal decor. You could do the red curtains - then bring the red over in a pillow or vase on a coffee table. Keep going!

Hi, I was searching around and I see I'm late. lol :) I was going to say this color.... first picture. :) I think deep reds, the blues you have or golds could/would be a nice addition to your room. Maybe even some great art to add color. Good luck with your space. :) The colors in these rooms really stand out, hope this helps. :)

Thanks... I love the look of the deep red & teal/blue. I wish I could find a curtain with a mix of these two, maybe paisley or floral (one that my husband could tolerate).

Very nice. I was thinking to put light beige sheer curtains in the center, then on the sides you should find a maroon curtains with very little beige designs in them, not with too much patterns either. Make sure the curtains aren't to dark, I feel that it makes the room appear small. Another idea, on top of the table under the wine rack, fill a small vase with some corks for decoration. Maybe put in an area rug to match with curtains. Have fun designing !

When I see your wall wine system, I think of a rectangular 'painted box' behind it, a little larger to frame it and to add color- russet red or deep teal.
