Need help with bathroom lighting.

I have a 10ft high ceiling in my bathroom with a can ceiling lighting over each sink. Each vanity is 3ft tall and the mirrors over the vanities are 4ft tall. There is 2 inches or less on each side of the the mirrors. The vanities and mirrors are separated by a window. The lighting has created a big shadowing problem when trying to apply make up and seeing anything close on my face.

Yes, you definitely have a shadowing problem due to the way that can lights work! Let's see if we can't help you fix that.

Since you said there's such a tight squeeze on each side of the mirrors, my normal recommendation of sconces flanking the mirrors is out. That would be the most ideal way to get the best wash of light over your face. But sometimes they just won't work, so in that case, I'd recommend a bar-style or vanity strip light over the mirrors.
