We've finalized our floor plan, picked out appliances, and settled on cabinets... who thought choosing hardware would be so stressful? The perimeter cabinets will be white, and the island a chocolate wood. The appliances will be stainless steel. I had thought we would go with a brushed nickel finish for hardware, however, I don't like the way it looks on the chocolate cabinets. Is it okay to mix finishes and do a rust finish on the chocolate cabinet hardware and a brushed nickel or stainless on the white cabinet hardware?
