Will the husband part with some of the wall paneling or can it be painted ? L.E.D. track or pot lighting . A great colorful area rug or FLOR.com carpet tiles . First start with your carpet and the lighting . Large colorful Art or posters with bright metal frames .

Thanks... He loves the walls as is.. It's his one room that's his. So I shouldn't take that away from him and he won't allow me to paint, unfortunately. I just want it to blend in with rest of the house as much as possible. More contemporary...
