Hi Michael, For the most part, the kitchen floor can be swept or vacumned, For a depp clean. You would clean the stone per manufactures instructions. I cannot remember the finish we put on the wood whether it was a polyurathene of a waxed finish. My homeowner has not had any problems with this treatment. it looks as good as the day we put it in!
