Not much detail in the photo, but I'd guess Pinus strobus on the left & Picea abies on the right

Probably a cedrus libanii (blue-gray) and Picea abies.

Previously I posted pics and they were both identified as Norway Spruce. Looking at them next to each other I'm pretty sure they arent the same thing. I think the Picea abies identification is spot-on, but I'm pretty sure the other isn't a white pine. More rounded top, more of a blue-gray color. Ridges on the bark aren't as deep, needles aren't as long maybe? Wondering if it is a white spruce? Based on the trees planted by the prior owners it's not anything that unusual. The tree is over 40 years old and under 100.

Here's a photo of the trunk.

any chance of a close up picture of twigs with needles and buds from the rounded tree? A picture of fallen cones may help just as much if not more.

I have seen Norway spruce trees that lost their main leader and grew multiple competing leaders to form trees identical to the rounded one you have pictured above. Just not a common occurrence is all.

Agree with Norway Spruce on the right.

Left tree might be a White Fir Abies concolor, but as noted, needs foliage close-ups to tell for sure.

Yes, NS on right seems likely. The multi-leadered form of tree on left is exact depiction of what I mentioned in Ed's other tree thread-about white fir-Abies concolor- often developing that way in my area......and evidently, other areas as well, if that is indeed its identity.

good point - I've seen A. concolor with similar candelabra form around here as well

Looks like Abies concolor to me!

Yes, Abies concolor

Resin

looks like Abies concolor. Needles should be 1 1/2 to 2 in long, smell a bit like oranges when broken and bruised and attach to the stem with a sucker base.

Where in z6 are you?

Abies concolor grows quite well in Z5 - Toronto, Ontario
