Looking for a grow stand for post-germination of those tomato and pepper seeds?

Do you have an old unused aquarium? Maybe the fish are long gone, or the tank leaks.

Line the inside of the empty tank w/ aluminum foil (shiny side to the inside of the tank). It will take about six sheets. You can use duct tape to affix the foil to the insides.

Obtain a positionable clamp light (about 10-12 bucks) from the local hardware/BB store. Get the one that can take up to 300w bulbs. Find a bulb for the fixture (CFL/LED or even an incandescent [but they get hot]) and clamp the fixture to the end of the tank on top. You can use two clamp lights for maximum intensity.

You can pop a couple of books (who reads any more anyway?) in the bottom of the tank you get the plant starts closer to the light.

what you will need:
~ duct tape (5 bucks)
~ aluminum foil (splurge on the heavy duty)
~ Clamp light ($10-$12)
~ light bulb
~ unused aquarium (with a stand would be wonderful, but not necessary) I Used an old 20 gallon high.
~ 15-20 minutes
~ an understanding spouse/significant other (some assembly required)

If you are really lucky, you may only need to buy the clamp light fixture, and the bulb, and separate accommodations if the last item on the list objects.
