At a loss for finishing touches...HELP PLEASE!

I am at a stand still on this small condo I just bought.....the room is irregular shape with alot of windows which I love. Any suggestions to complete it would be great...I love glam and texture. Club chairs can go if they are a lost cause...I have new dining chairs coming next week which I pictured below...currently have 2 lawn chairs as temp.

Lovely great view. I think your living room rug goes good with the glamour vibe. If you can't decide on a regular size coffee table, look at the small square glass & chrome 'C' shaped ones that slip under the sofa. I like the club chairs. Are you happy with them? Do they need replacing? Is that a chandelier over the dining table. Fine, if so. You need to choose a large art piece for your wall in the dining area. I think the dining chairs & table will be fine, however pick an area rug for under the set to ground it. Perhaps a tan sisal. Keep your accessories to a minimum as you already have done. Pick color for candles to put in the candle holders. I think you have almost finished your job of the décor. Just need some big art. Go abstract!

I understand....finding the right coffee table isn't easy for me too. Do you have a budget range in mind for one? I can try to research options and I'm sure knowing that will help others give you better options too.

I like the idea of a coffee table to centre the seating area...Any suggestions for accent colors? Club chairs are new so would like to make them work....bought them cause they swivel I just find them a bit boring..and yes that is a chandelier over the table...I have been on the hunt for art but am having a tough time on color choice

Hi Crystal, what stores (brick & mortar or online only) are available to you? I'm in the US so I'm not familiar with what retailers would work for your area.
However, Urban Barn is one, correct? If so, have you seen these? What do you think?

Scan designs, Urban Barn, Muse and Merchant other than that the Brick or ones that are extremely expensive....I don't know of Canadian online retailers.....a couple hours away are ikea, pottery barn, crate and barrell and west elm

I liked the top right one in the store very simple and the other 2 look worth checking out as well...and the price point is excellent

Have you thought about something on the windows to enhance the overall feel of the room? Window treatments don't have to cover the windows. They can accent the window nicely and add the the feel of the overall room.

I am open to suggestions on window treatment...here is the room from a different angle from before I purchased it....professional photographer can make rooms look bigger!

I think this one (36 inch round) from Muse and Merchant would work nicely too....actually more affordable than the ones at Urban Barn.

PS What's the length of your sofa? How much space to you have between your sofa and chairs?

Because the old one won't let me delete the main picture and it was hard to get an idea of the room so I wasn't getting varied feedback...now that Im at the next stage Im ready for new ideas. Glad you found me cause you got me this far with your help!

You mentioned glass with brass table....I really like these warm-colored metal tables from C&B and PB, too. What do you think?

Btw, the PB one is a bunching table set.....so it can be centered in the grouping but also give you more flexibility.

I do like the oval-shaped C&B ones though for your space.

Top left one is $799 Cnd plus tax top right is $899 Cdn plus tax...and the pottery barn bunching are $471 each cube....Canadian prices are through the roof! Was hoping to keep a bit less expensive...muse and merchant table in Chrome was less expensive

Aha, good to know re: $ for the last group I posted.
So any thoughts regarding the other tables? Any in particular that you like more than the others? Any that are not possibilities at all?

PS I don't mind looking for more....your feedback helps to know which direction to go.

Was thinking about swapping out the chandalier...first photo is current one and next 2 are the ones I would consider swapping with...(girlfriend wants to trade one of hers for mine so no price dif)

It is in my thread that I am in Canada...I was looking for suggestions on houzz, I didn't expect people looking to sell me stuff unless it was a specific idea based on the decor of my space sorry for the confusion

I'd tend to agree with you about the occasional chairs not really doing anything for the space. I think a low-slung chair and maybe a chaise with the fur throw would be more interesting.

I think you should check out structube.com, or better still visit one of their stores in the Toronto area. In my opinion, they've got great contemporary (if that's your cup of tea) and affordable stuff. They're Canadian, so you wouldn't have to deal with duties etc. Otherwise, you might have to pay a weekly visit to Homesense until you find items that you like. It's probably a good idea to mix things up from different stores. Don't rush the furnishing (it's your place after all), and Good luck.

No problem, Crystal, I must have missed your reference to Canada. Sorry you can't take advantage of purchasing artwork directly from US based artists, that is who we are. We have a portfolio of over 500 pieces of art and Houzzers have purchased our artwork before, that is why I suggested that you check out our galleries. You can still do it if you are looking for art ideas and inspiration and, if you see artwork you like, you can then try and find something similar in Canada... Just checked out structube...saw a sofa just like mine for less than half the cost of what I paid! Wish I would have found this site sooner!

You should visit their store in Victoria, if they have one. You'll find great ideas you never considered, and the best part of it is it won't break the bank. Just be careful not to turn your home into a Structube décor centre :) I like bits from here and there. It's fun, and makes your place unique.

I checked it out and you're right. Not anywhere in BC, which sounds strange given they're everywhere else. Not sure if you know about EQ3, or eq3.com. They're Canadian as well, and have a Vancouver (though not Victoria) store. They're pretty cool as well, though somewhat more pricey than Structube. A strategy could be to wait till whatever you're interested in goes on sale. I'm waiting on a particular wall clock :)

Very nice decor!!!! I would add details that will pop in color.... You have lots of gray, black, brown. How about a pop of yellow? Or turqoise. Or lime green? Like a vase? Or a nice glass decor or a piece of art on the wall. You need something that pops! :))

Here is one artist from Great Big Canvas whose art has more contrast and is a bit edgier than what you show. (Note they are priced in CAD.) I've Photoshopped two of them in your room, ith pillows to tie in colors in the art.
I think you might also be happier with your chairs if you removed the throws and perhaps used lumbar pillows instead.

Not sure I will ever be happy with those chairs...hubby's choice...I likely will replace them pretty quick....maybe next week if I can find something that doesn't have to be ordered. This is more my style or a Louis chair

I'm afraid the proportion of the art and table in the dining room is off. I like both of them but the art is overpowering the table. Because they are both light in tone, they are giving the impression there are just two big light rectangles there. If the art were less than 75% of the table's length you'd achieve better balance. Just flip the art vertically, and you'll see what I mean. Where did your chandelier go?

The art is a bit large, but I think it works. I like the tan pillows that echo the warm colors in the art. A tall narrow plant opposite the windows would help to balance the space.

I got the art at Lazyboy furniture...$399 I have somebody coming to look at the ugh club chairs this evening so I haven't decided on chairs yet...the striped ones in the picture only come in a beige or black microfibre so they are no longer an option....
