Black drop ceiling

Wondering if anyone has ever painted dropped ceiling tile and any suggestions on this. Would love to paint black without replacing tiles. At the moment I am painting walls brown. Also looking to cover bay windows but would love to still have some light come in considering it is basement. Thanks!
