You should be able to find a rug with your main colors in it, the wall color, the blues, and the sages. You have a more traditional look with the drapes, so perhaps a floral or even "oriental" would look wonderful. Add some pillows in the predominant colors to your seating, but don't worry too much about the red in the kitchen.

I like the two left side rugs. Take your drapery pattern with you when you shop for rugs.

Lighter toned, naturally dyed rugs would work well with your setting. Have fun searching!

I just saw a really cool rug today on Joss and Main called the Utopia. I've seen Persian rugs all over the place these days and this has a cool distressed, muted finish. I think it could look really cool in your space!

These are some of the rugs we have in the style you like. With each of these rugs, the background is 100% wool and the pattern in silk. I realize some of the colors would not work, but it gives you an idea of what is out there.

I think your space lends itself to a rectangular rug more so than a round rug - if you can get a room rug that covers the entire living space you're onto a winner, if not then a rug that at least has your sofas front legs on it will look pretty nice as well!

Hi Jessica, I was looking at your room and have a couple of rug suggestions. BTW make sure your area rug is large enough to extend well under the front legs of your couches. You don't want to make the mistake that a lot of people do and buy a rug that is too small and have it end up looking like a postage stamp in the middle of your room. Alexanian Carpet & Flooring is a Canadian company with an online store, which delivers to Canada and the US. Have a look at Alexanian.com for some rugs that would work great in your space. I would stick with rectangular shaped rugs, one in the area with the couches and one in the area by the piano, perhaps with a couple of arm chairs and a coffee table in front of the piano.
