let it go or fix? tile problem...

I'm somewhere in the throes of a 60K+ bathroom remodel... while I'm truly delighted with the basket weave marble "rug runner" & most aspects of the 18"x18" tile surrounding it, the 4" strip in the corner, which easily could have been placed under the vanity, is making me insane - the floor has been grouted, the walls have not - has this ship sailed or could this still be fixed?

Have it changed! It's only a matter of a few tiles, and it shouldn't have been installed that way anyway - the large tiles aren't supposed to be staggered are they?

No, the large tiles aren't supposed to be staggered... the layout was very challenging because of the L-shaped inset, but that 4" piece just looks like a poorly executed repair to me... thanks for your response!

Very poorly planned layout by tile setter get it fixed it will make you crazy if not then put a brat laundry basket there

This whole layout isn't making much sense to me....Bad planning/layout all around. For the kind of money you are spending, I could not live with that.

I think the other side is also a problem. The corner (of the tile runner) in front of the door should also be better aligned with the tiles. Honestly it looks like the tile setter didn't do any dry layout at all.

the portion by the door should be a full tile and the tile piece under the vanity

gah. what a dog's dinner of a beautiful bathroom. i dont like the vanity legs on the "carpet" with so much white space on the other side, either.

i think setting something on the pieced tile is your best bet, as you'll probably do that anyway.
