Thank you. We are planning a new roof and considered metal on lower level and shingle on top. I love that look! Since our windows are black we painted the front door black, which in good light looks very nice. Ultimately I'd like a glass front door to let light in as this house has many walls on first floor. I can't see the front door from the kitchen or living room. I like the gray house color, it is one of our favorites. Need to add trim to windows, then paint and reroof. The hydrangeas are a great idea, thank you!

Shutters would definitely help to upgrade your already lovely home. The position of your windows on the second level don't allow for shutters on all of windows but there is definitely room on the first level.
