Hi everyone!

My living room is pretty much a blank space. It is semi-open to our small galley kitchen, and is painted a very neutral color - Martha Stewart's Whetstone Grey - It's kind of a greige. Anyway! We will eventually be in the market for a new couch and rug, and most of our other existing furniture pieces are very neutral, or darker woods, with some rattan -- that sort of thing. What we are missing is color! The only color we have now is some blue in some decorative pieces that do not have to stay. I have not been sure what color direction I was interested in going, but recently purchased a large 40x53 abstract painting that we have put above our fireplace (which also needs work). I'd really love to bring in some colors with curtains, pillows, etc, but am not sure how to do so (or what colors to go with). I thought that by showing this piece, that maybe I could get some input on decorative pieces, colors, patterns, etc that might go well in the room? You will also be able to see the paint color.
