What a gorgeous room! I love the way you organized the books by color. I would maybe space them out a little bit and add some objects in between them. Obviously putting non breakable items on the lower shelves. I would do a round coffee table because you wouldn't want to block anyone from walking around through the chairs.

Such a pretty room. Maybe at some point look into a larger light fixture. And I'd get a fun, bright tray for the table. And a couple photos of the kids in silver frames on the bookshelves.

The room is absolutely stunning. I agree a larger drum on the fixture would look nice, but I think it is perfect. Wish it were in my house.

Here’s me putting a target on my back...have you thought of painting the inside of the bookshelves or wallpapering it? A blue or green mid-tone color for the bookcase backs and then cut that color by 25% and painting just the ceiling in it. I’d love to see a lovely throw folded on the back of each chair for color. I actually like the glam flush mount light... though I’d add a picture light at the top center of each book case and then place two very streamlined low floor lamps between the chairs. For the lower bookshelf shelves, wicker baskets in each, a place for kids toys and games and stuff for the room...napkins, coasters, magazines,...
