I got some hairy balls milkweed at a seed swap and started it the first week of February. It seems to be growing quite slowly, though I've never grown milkweed before so I don't have a good reference. The first true leaves are just starting to appear.

Glad to hear from you again. Anyway, I always wait til after tax day to sow seeds, that way I don't have to worry about frost anymore.

I saved these tropical butterfly weed seeds from last year, going to try to see if they come up in a pot this year. They aren't perenials here in SC, but I enjoy them just the same.

Was working on my little pond today, cleaning all the leaves out, I'm so glad it's finally spring. Took long enough this year, everything is leafing and sprouting. I am relieved, I love the spring. Hate the cold weather, it's depressing.

I saved my black EE I had in the pond, I put them in a pot over the winter in front of a sunny window, and they look quite happy. Hope the black and green EE I planted out in the garden make it this year.
