Im so sorry nina! she is in doggy heaven running about making new friends. big hugs to you nina, I know how painful losing a much loved family member is and I feel so bad for you having to go through this

many thanks for the sweet sentiments. i know a few of you have known pea probably for the whole 5 years i had her. she was such a wonderful dog, almost human in the way she craved hugs and kisses. i miss her so much and bentley is sad, looking around for her often. if i ever heal from this loss, it will take a very long time. *sigh*

I really did feel like I knew her from your posts, she was such a sweet darling! It is so unfair that our furkids are only with us for such a short time, but they still manage to have such a huge effect on us. RIP sweet girl

Just now read about the loss of your Sweet Pea, Nina, and I'm so sorry to hear of it. The sympathy and advice you gave to me in October 2012, when I, too, lost my beloved dog suddenly and unexpectedly, were of great comfort to me. I only wish I could do the same for you. Please know you're in my thoughts.

How sad she is gone. :-( She will live on for all of us, in all your pictures of her on this forum. So sorry for your loss.

it has been almost 2 months and my heart still aches for her. i had a lovely memorial portrait done and it hangs in my living room. pea will always be my once-in-a-lifetime dog. for those of you who might not know, i rescued another senior dane girl just days after i lost pea. it was not my intention, i wasn't sure i would ever be ready but when i looked into olivia's eyes and saw pea looking back at me, i melted. she is so much like pea in every way, i like to say that pea came back to me in olivia's body. bentley loves her so much and she is helping us heal. :)
