Well we went ahead with 3 of the HD Vormax toilets and we are very pleased. The flush is powerful but quiet, it cleans the bowl very well, and the shape is comfortable. I'm not in love with the seats as they are more rounded (rather than a flat sitting area hard to describe) but they are better than most seats that come with toilets and are at least slow close. We'll probably just replace them eventually with other seats but I don't hate them and the plastic is quieter when opened against the tank than the enameled wood we used to have.

I have a American Standard for over 30 years that is still in perfect condition. Now, in the process of getting products for my bathroom remodeling job. Read numerous reviews on Toto toilets. What surprises me is that people state they need to flush a couple of times to get the "bits" down. Toilet clogs and they need a plunger standing by....I am now really considering the American Standard VorMax Toilet. But before I purchase would also like other peoples comments on the VorMax.

I just wanted to update - we've had these toilets for several months now and we're very happy with them! They flush fairly quietly and very effectively, the bowl is always left clean and we have had no issues at all with them. Even our friends' toddler flushing almost an entire roll of TP down it did not clog it.
