Thanks, Linda! I already have the squares cut for this one, except the black. Still need to buy black and green. I had an order all set to hit submit the other day and got screwed up when it wouldn't let me log in. I hate getting it at the local quilt shop as they're pricey.

Finally ordered some black and green Kona from Missouri Star Quilt Co. I don't remember ordering from them before, but they had a good price on their Kona at $5.95 and shipping was only $5. I have acquired what they call Quilter's Cash but don't know what that is or how to use it. After I receive the fabric and get it washed, I'll be able to complete the rest of these two blocks. WooooHoooooo

I have ordered from Missouri Star and had good results. Sometimes the delivery is slow but the products are excellent. I think the Quilter's Cash can be used as cash off on your next order.
I am setting up a Flicker group to show pictures of the blocks as we go along. I can't wait to see what others have made.

Oh my goodness. My 12 year old daughter is over the moon for this. Will be following even though we can't do it right now.

Re the Daily Deals at Missouri Star: I wouldn't mind getting some of those deals, but sure do hate to order on a daily basis. Is there a way to save the items at the daily deal price and order everything at once....like monthly?

Sharon, so happy that you are making the quilt. I don't think you can save the items at the daily deal price. They are only that price for one day. I know that I don't order as often as I would like because I don't want to pay the shipping. I usually order other items with the daily deal to take advantage of the shipping.

No you cannot save the daily deals --- that makes me stop and think -- do I really want it??? sometimes yes, lots of time no......and sometimes it is sold out before I decide, but I have made some really fantastic quilts from the layer cakes or jelly rolls I've taken advantage of the deals. I always need Kona , or my real love -- Andover Dimples. Start a wish list, so when the daily deal you want is that day---you've got something else to add to help defray the $5.00 shipping. That's what the Quilter's cash is for! They are reliable, and I've been happier with their service then any other company.

Linda, thanks for keeping the QAL up for a year -- maybe I will be able to participate later.

My order arrived today! Wow, that was fast.....4 days? wooohooooo, now to get it washed and I can get these two blocks completed. Yea, me!!!!

You are sure keeping me hopping, Linda. The first four blocks are all completed and the Blue Wissrobe is half done. I just keep cranking along..... :-)

This was sure a throw back memory. lol Makes me want to get everything out and start going again. I left it all as it was on the big cookie sheet and it's on the top shelf......I even think most of the fabric is with it.....but, I might have used some of it. :-)

I made the first block with the interfacing, but found it too hard to snip through at every seam. So I remade the block without and found it worked fine. I will probably make that block into a pillow.

That is such a cute quilt! My 21 year old daughter is a die hard Zelda fan and she would absolutely love that! Putting it in possible future projects file.
