I'll never get any Classico jars unless they are given to me. I'm canning tomato from the garden, so I'll never buy Classico sauce. :-)

Still it is very handy to have them back for when you run out of your own homemade sauce. :)

matthias, i like to mix classico sauce with my own since i like thick sauce. i'm at the point where i have extra jars. if you are near ct. you can have some.....i also have family i visit near pottstown pa.

My heathen family prefers the sweet and corn syrup laden commercial sauce to my own home canned. I thought I raised them better, sheesh. Fine with me, I eat my own homemade stuff and don't share with them!

I just bought a couple of jars of Classico last week as my son-in-law and his family were visiting and noticed that the threads were once again compatible with regular mouth rings and flats.

Actually, it's a good size, 24 ounces, right between my pint jars and the quarts. And are they really made by Atlas?

I love the 24 ounce size...they are the perfect size for many of my canning projects. I buy the Vodka Sauce and occasionally the red pepper sauce since I don't make either of those. I've accumulated a good 3-4 cases worth over the years. I wish they'd make the smaller jars with threads that work with regular mouth rings again. I found pizza sauce in a 10 ounce canning jar and bought up the 5 on the shelf just for the jar. The pizza sauce was actually quite good. All I see now are the jars with the smaller threads.

write to them and tell them what you think. even if they don't make changes because of your comments, they'll send you coupons to use on a purchase. i got 4 coupons for 50 cents each per jar of sauce. not bad. their website also has coupons you can print. i think 1.50 per 4 jars, so not as nice, but still better than nothing.

I have folks at work that give me their empty classico's. sounds cheap, but it works.
