Need more guidance -- full measurements and what you need to fit in -- e.g., just a bed, nightstand, and decor, or do you need furniture for your clothes, or are you actually going to study in here too, etc. Those are all very different types of queries!!

A very common answer to this is a loft -- you can even get something pretty cheap at Ikea these days. Then, with your bed up 4-5 feet, you suddenly have space underneath for dressers, or a desk, or a comfy chair or to make a hideaway fort! :)) Good luck.

Full measurements of the whole space are very necessary for us to be able to help you. Is this the only room or just the bedroom? How high is the ceiling, and how long and wide is that room etc.? Urban living is not as challenging as it was in the past. A Murphy Bed or Loft arrangement with working space below is the way to go.
