I'm not one for either carpet or wallpaper in a bathroom. Especially if there has already been water damage. I love the counter of the sink. A soft coral color paint for the walls and a simple marble colored porcelain tile on the floor. One that has a texture for non-slip.

Thanks for the advice. I'm just trying to keep it simple in a little used bath and bedroom, which is also getting the carpet it's not my favorite either, but seems easier to work with the insurance company this way

Sorry to hear about your water damage. I like your wall paper choice, and would use the cream (or so it appears on my monitor) in it for the ceiling. I am joining the crowd and saying no to the carpet. I used to have carpet in my bath, and, believe me, it makes a world of differences with it gone. I can't believe your insurance company would be more willing to do carpet. Try talking with your agent and seeing why a tile couldn't be done. If it's a money issue, linoleums are now available that look strikingly similar to tile. I'm not asking you to cause an argument with your agent, but he/she works for you - surely he/she can understand not having carpet in the bathroom.

Yes, I don't see why carpet would be used in a bathroom and why the insurance company would prefer that. Your wallpaper is very pretty. Still, I would paint a bathroom instead of wallpaper. There are too many opportunities for damage. Paint your walls a pretty color and then frame a bit of the paper to hang on the wall as decoration.

No carpet for the bathroom please! mats okay but only for the tub and sink not the toilet .

The paper is beautiful, use paint the same as the beige/ivory as in the paper. If this house will be taken down ,don't spend too much into it , just do the necessary repairs and save your money for you new place, I wish you good luck :)

Of your samples, aim for the taupe that has the rosiest undertones. Your current wall colour would be fine on the ceiling. Best of luck with your project.

I love your paper but not with the countertop. I might just paint the room a greyish/mocha, add a great new fixture and use peel and stick tile (88 cents a tile and carpet would be more costly).

I also vote for no carpet in the bathroom. There are lots of options other than tile that are inexpensive and much more durable. And while I love the wallpaper, the pattern is a bit small/busy with that counter top. What about that red/cranberry just as paint?
