I prefer to stick with classic white/ivory and then add colour and texture with throws and pillows as a general rule.

Hi cats0924, are you able to snap and share a few photos of your bedroom so we can see what you're working with? From what you've described, I'd tend toward a lighter bedding set with the light furniture and dark wall behind the bed for contrast, but photos would be so helpful to really come up with the best advice.

The gray + balsam will be beautiful, BTW! If you have a dark gray accent wall, I'm guessing a light bedspread might work best, and Ivory sounds absolutely luscious.
