Very nice space! It's just a bit piece-y at the moment. In the dining area, a larger rug would help ground the table and chairs a bit better, so when you pull out chairs, they don't fall off on to the floor. The chandelier is a bit too high. Would the hutch fit on the wall where you have those little shelves? Then, you could add some art to the dining area to go with the rug. It doesn't have to cost a fortune, either. In the living space, there is a lot of space not being used. Perhaps trade out the loveseat and sofa to open up the seating area bit more. The piece of furniture jutting into the hallway is too large for the space, but perhaps you could trade it with the table currently to the right of the fireplace, and set the table and mirror currently over your fireplace on the wall next to the foyer closet. When you can squeeze it into the budget, an area rug in the living space would help give you some color, as would some larger art above the fireplace.
