Hello Experts,

I have two trees in the front of my house which is North-South orientation in Plano, TX. I have St. Augustine grass under the trees and Bermuda grass elsewhere in the lawn. The St. Augustine area does get intermittent light penetrating through the trees and about 3 hours of full sun. But the problem is that in the last 5 years the St. Augustine has died twice.

Since the grass has died this winter, I am thinking if I should stop wasting money and all the work to put in the SA sod every 2 years and plant some Fescue seed which is easier but just needs extra watering in summer? Or should I just overseed Bermuda in that area every year? Thanks!
