CA Sages in Bloom

There's a canyon I jog through that is full of sages. Most of it is naturally occurring but there is a small section that has been replanted by humans. The wild plants are just coming to life but the planted sages are well into blooming. Theses are pics of the planted ones.

Just gorgeous . They can have unsafe plant sex in my yard anytime.

thats one of my favorite of the salvias...salvia leucophylla /purple sage... i used to live near a big patch of it, but i never see any around where i live now...unfortunately...smells SOOO good =)

^^^ or at least thats what i think it is, not 110% sure ^^^

but i got intruiged by it to figure out right ID, and thats what i came up with, if its the same plant. its tricky to get exact ID for feral plants, and there can be local differences, hybridization....

Yes. lol. It will be interesting to see any plants coming up in the area but I looked around and didn't see any seedlings.. I think too much nonnative grasses crowding them out.
