Electrical Problem.

My mom's house has a problem with the lights temporarily dimming when the furnace fan kicks on. She has an older home (1920's) with a newer furnace (about 8 yrs old). The thermostat was also replaced with the furnace. The house uses a fuse box. Not sure where to start looking to figure out what is wrong. Anyone?
