Bathroom tile layout help need, please.

Long tile lurker, first time poster.

Need assistance with tile layout.

Background: shower is walk in drop down. If first row begins in shower floor, it will not line up with vanity top.

Bathroom/shower wall and floor: 12x24
shower floor: 2x2 mosaic
Mosaic accent: 12x24

Original plan was to have an accent band around bathroom. Now we're thinking of tile only and mosaic from vanity to up.

Vanity: 12x24 up to vanity top. Mosaic on rest of wall.

If you want the wall tile to match the height of the vanity, and your layout works as you have drawn it, your layout decision is made. The shower will need to have a small strip of the wall tile around the base.

Seems like that might be the only option. I'm looking at lots of pictures here to get ideas. Maybe a different pattern all together.

Will keep on look the next couple of days.

Is there an actual step down or is it barrier free and the pitch toward the drain begins at glass? Just want to verify prior to options.

It's a drop down shower.

Possibly run a accent base tile around the shower floor so that you can start wall field tile higher.

Customer (DW) wants to use 4" granite backslash, then mosaic above it up the wall. I was thinking of starting the first 12x24 at the same height as the 4" granite backsplash. This would give me 4" at the bottom and 6" in the shower. Will see how it looks on paper.
