I totally loved what you have done with the hallway - I especially liked the stone wall and the wooden bench (excellent idea to keep the bark on, it made all the difference).

Personally, I wouldn't add anything on or underneath the bench. To add colour I would go for photos /paintings with a light blue background - maybe seascapes.

You both have an eye for design so I am sure that the hallway will look amazing with what you will decide to add to the area.

Where did you find the large framed mirror for the bathroom?

I found this mirror at IKEA for $89.

Sorry Pam Boysen. The bathroom mirror came with the vanity. I just choose the larger mirror so that it filled the width of the wall making the bathroom look larger. This also allowed me to place 2 smaller lights spaced evenly over the mirror rather than just one single light over the vanity.

We put plywood on the wall and then used mortar to put up the stack stone. We had to use shims at each level to keep the stone lines straight.

Angelnk, I spent hours looking at Houzz.com and tried to make the most of the space. I also remembered the phrase that "less is more" in this small space. That is why I used white throughout with small accents of the stone wall, the " Barnwood" colour from Benjamin Moore and the fir slab for the Bench. Everything I picked worked with the floor. There really is nothing special about this space other than the accents and the shoe closet of course
