From what I can see the sofa looks awkward angled as it is. Can we see a pic of the bay window?

I've had the couch both along the solid wall *and* centered in the window w/ soft table behind it with the pair of lamps. The later did not work because I had to hurdle the couch to close the shades every day, and it infringed on the entry off the front foyer.

Also, here's a picture of the hiding corner, which contains a large office armoire (another piece that has to stay for my work storage). I'm not digging the columns, but that's too big a project right now.

decoenthusiaste - I'm feeling the need to replace the chairs. Any recommendations? Any thoughts on a coffee table (e.g. glass, round, rectangular, etc.)?

Love your colors. I am a huge fan of earth tones. Love the rust accents. How about 2 swivel chairs in a floral print? Maybe a natural fiber rug, jute or sisal?

Yes, I'd go for a lighter finish with the table. If you'd like the rug to show through try a glass topped one. Maybe some bling via metal would be a nice touch.
