I would change it if you hate it. No need to decorate around a color you don't like. My test of whether to repaint is if I find myself trying to cover it up.

I like it. On my computer it look very light. Give yourself some time to get use to it.

It does look a bit better now...it is very light. The sample doesn't look pistachio at all, more brown than yellow, but ah well.

And at least it's crisp and fresh.

I was hoping for something darker and a tiny bit "browner", I think. :/

After living with it for a few hours, I think the biggest issue is that I wanted darker.
But my husband likes it...maybe new drapes will help. Pillows are out with a baby and toddler as they will never stay on the couch! But maybe for the arm chairs. But art and curtains are in. :)

And after painting five different samples on the walls and them all being way too dark, I think I just have up. Bad zennifer!

I like it! I like that it makes it look open and airy. Have fun with drapes and adding the fun things in and put the paint brush away. Ahhhh......

I'm actually stating to like it. ;) it's looking nice with our grey and green and cherry wood.

I'm trying to decide about shades/drapes. There is a windo and a patio door in the room. Both currently have light minty green curtains that are faded and need replaced, but I don't know where to go!

I have heard Ikea is a good place to shop for drapes/curtains. I have not, as we do not live near one....horrors! I have good luck here at Shopko and Target. Measure first so they are long enough.....duh! Touch the floor and all that jazz. Hung high enough, too.

Ikea has quality grommeted, medium weight cotton curtains. Each panel is only $10 and they come with iron-on hemming tape. Have you considered painting your trim white? Adding colorful artwork, throw pillows, and a rug will also warm up the space. Your paint color is just the backdrop!

I looked through ikea, do these work? Or should I look for something with more color? I hate our current curtains. Can't spend too much yet since little grubby hands will peanut butter them up in no time. ;) something to tide me over until that age is done in 5-6 years! And I probably shouldn't get white...but I'm kind if lost with what works.

The painting is next to the hutch that is by the window; part of the same space.

We are doing another shelf above the book shelf above the couch with picture frames on it.

I actually don't like white woodwork/really like wood trim. :) personal preference. The current stuff needs redone...but that's another day and another job. Since the current trim us almost the same color as the cherry kitchen in the same room, anything we do needs to match it anyway...

What color/kind of pillow might look good on those armchairs?

Bird curtains are cool. Buy an extra panel and have pillows made. Congrats on the paint job.

color is a very powerful thing. it can truly affect your well being. if you feel is a hospital green, change it now. I suggest a more modern green, with more yellow on it.

I am sitting in a hospital waiting room now. Lots of horrid green going on. There's no way that I would "live with" a paint color (or anything, for that matter) that I didn't love. Paint is inexpensive and easy to do. Love your surroundings!

Most times, it is best to paint last so that you can "pull it all together". However, your paint color looks to be fairly neutral, so whether you select your furnishings and decor in warmer earthy colors or full of color it will most likely work.
