I need a better way to maximize the space in my upstairs closet! This is what I came up with when I bought the house 6 years ago, but it still doesn't feel right-

My husband has his clothes hanging just inside the entrance ( there's no door) because he hits his head if he walks in too far.
My biggest problem are my boot collection and the feeling that the hang rods aren't sturdy enough.

The dimensions are:
left wall 12'
right wall 8' (before bump out)
49.75" W

The height from the floor to the botom of the ceiling is 40.5"
