We are flipping a home and drawing up the floorpan and I need your input (any expert input would really help as well). We are basically starting from scratch and have two options with the great room area (either in the front or back of the home).

Would you buy a home/prefer a home with a great room as the first thing you walk into from the front door (meaning you walk into the kitchen, dining, and living space)? If so, why is that preferred, if not, why not?
