I'd go a light color for the vanity. And go for a lighter and more airy window treatment. What's going on underneath the window?

this house is a split level and this bathroom is in the lower half. There is a 12 inch ledge around all the rooms downstairs.

So we have white, beige and gray going here. Who says we can't add a fun accent color? I would try taking down the curtains and putting some plants or cute knick-knacks on that ledge. Oh I'd love to have that ledge! Some colorful towels for the towel rack and a bright rug. Then if you have time or money left over, go ahead and paint the vanity a soft white. Just my thoughts.

As a long time renter I say clean, clean, clean and make sure everything is in good working order. Functioning clean mini-blinds on the windows, fresh light colored neutral paint, and new carpeting are pluses. Boring is ok.
