I vote for the left side, i like the wider look to the plank as well.

I would go lighter still than even the one on the far left. Remember the cherry will darken (unless it is already a few years old...then the 'darkening' is over). Personally I prefer the look of the tiles that are there right now (maybe a tad too pink...but other than that the light looks better).

I would look at a 'maple' look floor (and please stay away from laminate in a kitchen...it does NOT do well with heat/steam that comes off of ovens and dishwashers). A vinyl plank would be a much better option if you must have "wood look" in this space. I personally prefer a very light colour with this kitchen.

I'm actually keeping the tile. Im trying to put the laminate in the family room which is next to kitchen. I have an open plan. See photo above with fireplace undergoing construction. I closed my vaulted ceiling and want to place laminate downstairs in family room and upstairs in new bonus room

The variated one to the "R" in the first photo (to the L) in a later photo...it has the "handle hole" in the sample...best colour/tone match and keeps everything as light as possible. This isn't a very big space.

It looks like it will give you the best "match" for your wood tones while still offering variation and "lightness" to your space. Very handsome product.
