Post a picture of the outside of the house. Will the deck be along the side of the house with the windows? If so make both windows into french doors and close up the other one.

I'm not sure what the furniture arrangement would be if we created a new door. Yes, ideally the deck would be along the side of the house where the two windows are. Our neighbor with the same floor plan did the double french doors. It looks nice, but I feel that it took away the whole wall; meaning you can put anything near the doors as it would block the pathway to the doors. The living room is not that big, so I feel that two doors on either side would really minimize the room. I like the idea of the wrap around deck starting on the side, but since we have the stair case, not sure how that would work.
