Window treatment help!!!!!!

We have a huge picture window the has two crank out windows at the top. The window is also right beside a wood burning fireplace so curtains are out.
Was thinking about top down bottom up blinds
Any ideas.

Do you mean extend a curtain rod all the way over to the end of the wall?

Gary is spot on with his suggestions! I'd go for the drapery, stacking it on the right as he suggests.

Would I do one full panel or two and just pull to the side?

Yes, the rod would run wall to wall and the drapery will need to be wall to wall as well......this will add a soft contrast to the space as it is either the open or closed.

oh......by the way.....I'm seeing the drapery wall to wall / floor to ceilng or nearly to the ceiling. Rods are available that mount to the ceiling....just need to get extact dimensions for the drapery

Love the idea, silly question I am assuming I should great drapes the have the pattern on both sides, no liner since the window faces the front of my house ?

no.....the DRAPERY (it's a noun not a verb lol) the drapery need to be lined, to protect them from the sun, if you do it right they will be good for years and you will not need to replace them... If you are renting and dont know how long you will be in your home, would be the reason to do a short-cut and buy ready made unlined. A pattern on the inside could be nice depending on the pattern of course....even bold patterns are possible ....any other pictures of your space?

So one piece of drapery or panels ?

Great suggestion Gary! I think a large Indian Paisley would be great in this space. Good luck Michelle. You have a lovely start!

yes it would be one panel tracking to the right, there are one-way rods with pull cords or you can use a wand.....on the drapery pattern, find a pattern with a contrast between the background and the foreground to give dept.......not an all-over pattern...good luck

I suggest a geometric print. The one Carolyn shows is nice! How wide is the window? It looks over 4 feet? You need hardware that will allow this panel to close over a center support. That means a decorative traversing rod, or track rod.

These are the custom drapery that I had made for my dining room sliding doors I was planning on using since you can see these from the sunken in fireplace room would I still be ok to use another pattern I should I stick with this same fabric it pulls in all my furniture together

The slider is to the right of the dining table in your picture? Then you have the big living area, then the fireplace room in front? I think you are still ok with a different fabric, maybe not one of the bigger patterns, but one of the mid size ones.
And while we are at it, might I suggest your star and shutter wall art don't really fit in with this new theme. :)
