Installing a Kohler Hollister sink

I'm installing a Kohler Hollister sink in my new home. This is a heavy,
porcelain, wall-hung utility sink. I bought the corresponding Kohler
brackets, but they simply do not fit the sink. They are about 1.5" too
short thereby making it impossible to line the holes up where the bolts
should fit.

I called Kohler, they are confused and are sending
me a new set of brackets, thinking mine are somehow flawed. I honestly
don't see how that is going to help. Since buying the sink, I've noticed
postings on other sites from others having this same problem.

So my question is this: has anyone ever installed one of these sinks? Did YOUR brackets fit, or did you invent a work-around?
