Your floors would work with either, but I think the one on the right (more taupe) works best with counters.

The taupe tile blends well. Glass will add some sparkle. Can't wait to see the finished product.

The taupe on the right seems to go well, but have you considered black? It appears that there is black in your countertop?

just a quick comment that in my experience the colour of the glass tile can be a little misleading once installed - against the grout the colour can change - ours looked creamy but when installed it was more of a green glass. Thankfully we liked it but it was quite different than anticipated - see pic below - they are the same tile!

I think they all compete with the granite. I would go for a solid tile. Why use two different patterns?

I think the glass tile is the right choice! The taupe looks like a perfect compliment to your granite as long as it doesn't lean too dark, but the light should reflect and make it pop. Having said that..I think both colors work. I would choose the one that's closest match to a color in your granite. Can't wait to see end result. Good luck!

I loved your first choice of white or cream subway tile, but the taupe glass tile looks great too! Can't wait to see the end result.

I would keep looking. Of these, I would select the third option. Both option 1 and 3 look like they have pinkish tones. The granite looks like it has some yellow tones. IMHO, subway tiles are just o.k.

You don't have enough contrast going on. Everything is getting washed out by being the same light color. If you make something darker, everything will pop. I would pick a backsplash with darker neutral colors that will pick off of the color in the countertop.

Hi!!! Gorgeous choices!!! My home has the exact same kitchen design (Essex Springfield plan) but unfortunately, I am stuck with espresso cabinets and dark hardwoods. I did choose bianco romano granite and a lighter backsplash but any ideas on furniture choices to lighten it up?

Sonya: if you're still there I'd like to know the name and colour of the tile you chose and colour of grout. I've narrowed down to two similar choices as you. I'm looking at a Bliss element mist. I'm worried it may appear darker after installation.

Sprekly - this one looks nice! The name of my tile is Desert and we went with a non-sanded grout in Sand. Your tile will look darker/lighter too based on how the light hits it.

What is the tile you used below the hood and color?
