There are so many options. Too many, actually, to make it very easy to choose. If you are really stumped, I'd recommend you hire an interior decorator for a couple of hours and see what they suggest. Being in the home and seeing the actual room and components are huge advantages (which unfortunately I don' t have, being here online).

As you know, this is a very important decision which will be something you'll live with possibly for a long time and it will potentially affect how quickly you can find a buyer for your house once you decide to move on. That's why I think it's best to get someone in to give you some assistance.

Do you get a lot of natural light? With the darker appliances my inclination would be to a medium tone to darker stone. With the wood having similar tones in the cabinets/floor, I would want some contrast & variation with the countertops, while still making sure the appliances tie in. If you don't get much natural light, I'd choose a medium/lighter granite that had plenty of gray and golden tones. Really does depend on what you like - there are many options to choose from.

Agree with Cynthia Taylor-Luce again. There are a few great options and a pro in-home with you can help you make a decision. If you like high contrast..a white/off white quartz could be a nice option.
