Need advice for grout color

We are having a small bathroom re-tiled this weekend, and just need to decide on grout color. The tile we are using is a marbled white hexagon, and we would like a medium grey. It will be a kids bathroom and don't want to go too light in case of stains, but also don't want too much contrast. We are deciding between Platinum and Delorean. Any opinions?

Don't care for either. Platinum is too silver rather than gray. Delorean seems to have some type of taupe/purple undertone. Computer monitors and not good for color selection, but I would go to the middle - either Rolling Fog or Cape Gray.

I like the Platinum. But make sure you use an epoxy grout so you don't have to worry about resealing it or stains.

I would go with the darker. We have the exact same marble hexagon tile and I wish I had gone darker!

The Darker grout will highlight the hex pattern more. I love the look of hex so I'd opt for the darker color myself.

Maybe I'm wrong but doesn't Carrara have those undertones in it by nature?

I just want to chime in to say err on the side of darker especially with kids. I have a light grey grout for my master bathroom floor and one time of my daughter dropping a pot of bronzer on the floor has created an issue. It is, however, not epoxy and my contractor told me I didn't need to seal it - so two other cautionary tales :)

I'm curious to know what you chose as we are ready to tile our master and kids bathroom in the same tile and was going to choose rolling fog after they did a sample of the Delorean and it seemed too dark for my taste.....but the cape grey sample stick was missing when I got to choose and I think that's the one I want to go with!

Sorry for the delayed response! I am almost positive we went with platinum. I was worried that the others would we too dark. The tile is pretty versatile though and I think either you are considering would work well. We love how it turned out.

It's beautiful, nice job! We ended up going with Oyster Gray after doing several samples - fingers crossed!

Hi Nikkijonea, could you share a pic of your grouted floor? I have the same dilemma. the design includes white subway in the walls and carrara floors, I want to use the same color on both, light gray to blend with the carrara and provide mild contrast with the white subway - I sampled platinum and its pretty close, I need something lighter, and a touch warmer, I was thinking cape grey or rolling frog

I am in the same position as Celestesegul. I have a marble hexagon with alot of bright white stones, so I don't want to go with white. I tried a warm grey and it blends beautifully but I am wanting to pull in the warm tones of the veining marble pieces. I am thinking of oyster grey. Any thoughts?
