Thanks. He has just moved in and replaced the carpets with laminate. Working on his living room which he wants to use as a TV room. He will be moving his leather reclining love seat, couch & chair (photo)from the family room to the living room. He has a 60" TV with surround sound speakers, a coffee table and has a grandfather clock in the room. Will be removing the chandelier as he does not want to use any of the room for dining. I suggested track lighting to point to his art he will be hanging on the wall or a ceiling fan with lights. the room is 25' X 15' but he still wants it to be cozy.. It has a sliding door and a couple of windows at one end but no other windows. The fireplace is actually in the familly room.

Lighting: Pot lights (recessed lights) are very popular these days and can be placed above art too.

I have a grandfather's clock too (AKA tall case clock). That will look good in the TV room, but they also look good in many other rooms including entry halls.
