• Typically fixed shower heads are placed about 72-79 inches above the finished floor. But there is no hard and fast, we have placed them at varying heights depending on the clients. Higher for taller clients and lower for shorter clients if there is a multi function head that they need to reach to operate. Puting them all on one wall is not uncommon. Typically the fixed head, mixing valve, and diverter are placed vetically above one another, but they dont need to be.

Hi. We just redid our bathroom, and we put in a sliding handheld shower head on a rail and a rain shower head sticking out from the wall, with the diverter and temperature/volume on two separate controls. We left the tub outlet where it was, but for everything else, my husband and I literally stood in the tub and determined what heights would be best for us while the designer measured. We repeated the process for the plumber and contractor when it was time to install the items. Hope that helps!

Thank you for your advice! I think I may have to do the same! Although now I'm finding (through online research) suggested heights of 2m for the under side of the shower head. Fittings are arriving tomorrow, so that should be helpful! Thanks again :)
