Emptied the back pond...plan is to fill, cover with landscape fabric and mulch, install a play fort on top for the wee one. I am eventually going to excavate a much smaller "kids pond" for the fountain near the rear under the Cyprus and maple.

Question is: how to fill and with what? Getting a backhoe through my garden isn't possible. That is a ton of wheelbarrows...

After I cut the liner out, my plan was to fill with large crushed gravel and then dirt. Is this a sound plan? If so I can hire the labor through my lawn guy. Or do I need a better plan?
