Getting the house ready to sell. The oak cabinets are in nice shape except for a few spots where the varnish has thinned. We've updated hardware, but the stain is the 80s golden oak...yuck. We could just add a new coat of varnish & let it go, but wonder about the stain. We will have the wood floors refinished (don't know what type of stain to use on the floors...maybe that's where I should focus?). Guess I'm really asking two questions here: what to do with the cabinets (know I don't want to paint) as well as what color to stain wood floors? Thanks for your suggestions.
