From what know about dill which is not much, you don't need to worry about temps once it hits no lower than 40 at night. But dill has a taproot like carot that doesn't like transplanting. Apparently sowing dill is the preferred method. Gently transplant without disturbing roots and let us know it goes, I say.

I just stuck it in the ground and off it went. I also found it in the flower bed I didn't plant it in. Step,sniff why do I smell pickle! I believe it's biennial -I could be wrong. The original planting was over 20' away.

Dill is an annual. It will go to flower very fast and can sow itself and produce several crops of seedlings in a year.
