How To Stage this...

I am using this in my dining room. The colors in my dining room are cream and navy with reds and taupes mixed in. I want to replace the rope and not sure what to replace it with. Also, do I paint it a different color or leave it the way it is? My table is a distressed cream and stained brown. I have a rustic look going on in this room. Lastly, it has a place to put three of something inside the metal sphere but I'm not sure what??? Please advice. I just think it is a neat piece to add to my dining room.

post a picture of the room...if there is a loop at the top, you can buy ORB chain or a rust color chain to hang it instead of the rope.

Are you planning to electrify this orb? If over a table have a length of chain oil rubbed bronze to hang about 36 inches above the center of the table. One piece of proper wiring would be interwoven through the loops of the chain to connect to a junction box in the ceiling.

you cant electrify this fixture, with out spending some serious coin. you would have to french wire it , and then figure out how to mount the sockets, it would be a project. and if not done correctly the DIY would show through.

Thank you for all the input! I didn't want to electrify it. I was trying to think of something different to do with it. I will post a pic of the dining room for you soon. I am waiting on the table to be completed. It is being painted right now.
